We called for this one prior to Saturday night's outcome. While Barnett is coming off a loss to Travis Browne, and the UFC tends to avoid matching winning and losing fighters up in bouts, an exception could be made for Barnett. He's still top ten in the UFC and 1-1 since his return, and a fantastic catch wrestler who just picked up a win outside the promotion and BJJ competition Metamoris, over Dean Lister. In fact, he was the first person to submit Lister in well over a decade. He's also a former UFC champion, and surprisingly, the two ex-champions have never faced each other in the octagon, or anywhere in fact. That makes for a compelling story, and if the UFC really wanted to cash in on some nostalgia, this is the bout they'd book.
