5 Halfbacks Who Will Run Through College Football In 2014

By Chris Turner /

1. Todd Gurley, Georgia (165 carries, 989 yards, 10 TDs)

Don't let the numbers fool you, Todd Gurley is one of the best, if not the best Running Back in College Football. A hard-nosed runner with speed to boot, Gurley had a phenomenal Freshman year in 2012, running for 1,385 yards and 17 TDs, good for spots on both the All-SEC and All-Freshman team.Despite battling through an ankle injury that forced him out of three games, Gurley came close to another 1,000 yard season in 2013, and picked up right where he left with a 100-yard game in his return game against Florida. If he can stay healthy in 2014, Georgia will make a return to the SEC Championship game and Todd Gurley will be a Heisman candidate in 2014.
