Dereck Chisora was expected to face Joseph Parker. However, the New Zealand heavyweight pulled out of the fight due to an illness. Promoter Eddie Hearn had called upon fellow Brit David Price to face Chisora on the Regis Prograis-Josh Taylor bill at The O2 on October 26.
David Price is coming off a show-stopping performance against Dave ‘The White Rhino’ Allen, which ended in a corner retirement in the tenth-round after Allen had suffered a brutal beat down and could not continue.
Price, now reinvigorated after his win in July, is expected to be a front runner for a chance at the world title if he is able to get past the one they call ‘WAR’ Chisora.
Dereck Chisora (31-9, 22 KO’s) had recently demonstrated his power with a devastating knockout of Polish heavyweight Artur Szpilka and has built momentum to put himself in the conversation with the very top heavyweights globally.
Chisora is expected to bring ‘War’ and believes that David Price should not bank on his performance against Dave Allen to go the same way with him. The Liverpudlian knows that a win over Chisora would cement him as a top contender in the heavyweight division.
