A year since the Algerian expressed his desire to leave Leicester City he could finally get his wish this summer having been rumoured to be joining Man City for months.

The transfer almost went through in January after Mahrez handed in a transfer request to force through the move but the Citizens weren't happy with Leicester's valuation and halted their pursuit temporarily, presumably aware they were going to win the Premier League regardless.

For the second time in three seasons the 27-year-old winger has hit double figures for goals & assists and would give City even more strength in depth in attack alongside Sané, Sterling & Silva.

With a full pre-season to become acquainted with Pep's methods due to his lack of World Cup involvement, this transfer is highly likely and rumoured to be going through soon for around £60m.
