Weight Class: Featherweight The Fight Night 47 card opens with a featherweight bout between Thiago Tavares (1851) and Robbie Peralta (184 (1)) that in all honesty would be a preliminary bout on a non-Fight Night card, but having said that, recent Fight Night events have surpassed expectations, and I wouldn't be surprised if this one turned out to be an exciting affair. Robbie Peralta has been with the UFC for a couple of years now without making much noise, but he is coming off a split decision win over the always entertaining and tough Rony Jason, winner of the featherweight tournament at the first season of The Ultimate Fighter Brazil. Tavares, meanwhile, is coming off a submission victory over Justin Salas back in November. With both fighters looking to build a streak, but neither facing a cut should they lose, expect them to go all out. Though they have roughly the same number of fights, Tavares has more UFC experience and has faced tougher competition. With a dozen submission victories to his name, there's a good chance he avoids the knockout ability of Peralta and sinks in a choke. Tavares by submission, round two.
