6 Main Card Predictions For UFC Fight Night: Cerrone vs. Miller

3. Rick Story vs. Leonardo Mafra

Weight Class: Welterweight Rick "The Horror" Story (16-8), aside from having the best nickname in the welterweight division, has turned into something of a gatekeeper at 170lbs. Consider this: Story debuted at UFC 99, back in 2009. He holds wins over former title challenger Thiago Alves, and current welterweight champion Johny Hendricks. However, in the last few years, Story has struggled against top-tier opponents. It's pretty clear that the UFC has recognized this, as they matched him up most recently with the surging Kelvin Gastelum, who won a back and forth split decision over Story. This time out, Story welcomes octagon newcomer Leonardo Mafra (11-1) to the UFC. Mafra is on a run of knockout victories, with five straight KO and TKO wins in smaller promotions coming into Wednesday night. Story, however, has never been knocked out, and it's likely that his experience will be a little too much for the newcomer. Story by decision.
