The 21-year old, who had already impressed under Frank Lampard with Derby County last season, has once again repaid the manager's faith by making the step up and coming up trumps in the top-flight too.

An attacking midfielder by trade, Mount's abilities on the ball is precocious. He can carve out defences at will and possesses a keen eye for pass. In 29 games, he has been involved in 11 goals overall - scoring six and assisting five, though consistency has been the only issue in his game.

His last three goals in the league have been spread across 21 games as he went off the boil a couple times along the way, but nevertheless when on song, Mount has been nigh unplayable.

That he has featured in every league game so far suggests his importance to the side, and can grow further from strength to strength under the tutelage of Lampard.
