Despite poor starts for the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal, and Spurs, one club who stood out from the crowd was Manchester United, who recorded three wins from three in the opening month of the campaign.

The Red Devils smashed in ten goals during those three games without conceding a goal, sending a clear message to their title rivals that they are going to make a good go of things this term.

With new pieces of the jigsaw added over the summer in the form of Romelu Lukaku, Nemanja Matic, and Victor Lindelof, the Red Devils appear to be equipped to mount a serious title challenge during the 2017/18 season.

September has seen United drop their first points of the season following a 2-2 draw at Stoke, but they once again demonstrated enough to suggest this is going to be their year, and there are plenty of other reasons to back that thought up too...

7. A Returning Zlatan Ibrahimovic

When news emerged that United had sealed the return of the big Swedish striker on a one-year deal, there was a sense of surprise to a lot of fans around the country. Many had expected him to move on following a season ending injury in April, especially with the club adding Romelu Lukaku to the squad over the summer, with Zlatan's agent once again being vocal about his clients options in the press.

Currently still undergoing rehab for his injury, Zlatan will be back around Christmas time if reports are to be believed, and it will be like having a brand new world class signing in the ranks.

The 35-year-old striker smashed in 28 goals in all competitions last year, including 17 in the Premier League.

With success being targeted on both the domestic and European front for United this season, adding Zlatan to the squad midway through the campaign will be a huge boost.
