David Guion began his managerial career at Chambery SF at the beginning of the 10/11 campaign. He led the team to promotion that very year and was given the opportunity to lead AS Cannes the next season, although in January 2012 he was sacked for poor performances.

In February 2012 he took up the assistant coach role at US Boulogne, before then switching to oversee the youth, and the B team at Stade de Reims.

Guion was appointed first team manager at Reims in May 2017 and led them to the Ligue 2 title in his first season.

His achievements have not stopped there, as within their first year back in the top flight for the 18/19 season they achieved a league position of 8th, which included a last matchday win against PSG.

In the current season the trend seems to be continuing as Reims are currently sitting in 6th place having already beaten PSG, Marseille and Lille, which is certainly no mean feat
