8 Rangers Players Who Should Be Embarrassed To Wear The Shirt

3. Cammy Bell

Recently, new manager Mark Warburton signed goalkeeper Wes Fotheringham, who was released by Swindon Town. It'll be interesting to see if the Englishman can kick on and become a valuable asset to the Gers, because Scotsman Cammy Bell didn't really ever look like he was a guaranteed starter between the posts on merit.

A decent keeper, that's all Bell really is, so it was confusing that Ally McCoist put so much stock in him upon signing the man in 2013. Shining for Kilmarnock is one thing, because the Ayrshire side have far less expectation than Glasgow Rangers do, and Bell didn't once come across as the kind of goalkeeper who would hold down the position for years to come.

Injuries have blighted his Ibrox tenure, that much is true, but fumbling the ball into his own net during the crucial Playoff Final against Motherwell convinced many Rangers supporters that Cammy Bell wasn't the kind of goalie the team needed.

Coupled with a weak defensive back line, having a nervy goalkeeper is suicidal, but that's exactly what the light blues had to deal with in season 2014-2015.
