Regardless of your low opinion of Scottish football, there is absolutely no doubt that Celtic are one of the most successful and laudable teams in the league. Throughout their near-130 year history, their rivalry with Glasgow neighbours Rangers has pushed them on to incredible achievements. From winning the European Cup in 1967 with a team made up entirely of boys from Glasgow, to reaching the UEFA Cup Final in 2003, only losing out to a Porto team managed by one Jose Mourinho, the Bhoys have success in their blood which- to use another cliché- runs green and white. Celtic have also kick started the careers of some of the finest talents in the game. From Henrik Larsson, who is a hero among the Parkhead faithful for his poise, grace and frankly absurd goalscoring record, to more unlikely mercurial talents like Paolo Di Canio, who is renowned more these days for his fiery temperament and outspoken political beliefs. Like most clubs in the Scottish top flight though, Celtic have been linked with a wide range of weird and wonderful players from all across the world, as well as some wacky nonsense like moving to the Barclays Premier League. Of course, there are plenty of rumours which never came to fruition. Some will make you laugh, some will make you cry, and some will make you dream about what might have been....
