Southampton's Senegalese forward Sadio Mane scored the quickest hat-trick in Premier League history after netting a treble in two minutes and 56 seconds during a 6-1 demolition of Aston Villa at Saint Mary's this weekend. Mane's feat eclipsed the previous record, which belonged to Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler, by a remarkable one minute and 37 seconds. The striker also took the record for the quickest ever completed hat-trick in the league, beating the 22 minute benchmark set by Dwight Yorke. Paying tribute to Mane's incredible effort, we took a look at his closest contenders.

9. Yannick Bolasie: 11 Minutes (For Crystal Palace v Sunderland) 11/04/2015

Crystal Palace winger Yannick Bolasie stunned the crowd at the Stadium of Light this season with an 11 minute hat-trick, consigning the Black Cats to yet more relegation worries. Sunderland ended up losing the game 4-1 to Alan Pardew's side in a campaign where they have regularly been convincingly beaten at home. Glenn Murray had only put the Eagles 1-0 ahead in the 48th minute before Bolasie added a second, third and fourth inside 14 second half minutes as Sunderland conceded four goals at home for the second time in a month, following their 4-0 defeat to relegation rivals Aston Villa. Connor Wickham pulled back a consolation goal for the Wearside team, but it was in front of a vastly empty stadium after fans left en masse following Bolasie's third. The result left Sunderland just three points above the Premier League relegation zone, a gap they still hold over the bottom three. On the other hand, it boosted Eagles fans' hopes of a first ever Premier League top half finish as they went from strength to strength under the former Newcastle manager Alan Pardew.
