4. Oxlade-Chamberlain Is A Contender For An England Place
Yesterday Arsenal needed someone to step up and make a mark; Oxlade Chamberlain did it, not once, but twice. With so many big names missing in that midfield, Arsenal could have dropped vital points they didn't. It was a golden opportunity for a man that has been missing for much of the campaign to shine and he took it with great aplomb. That's what great players do. I'm not saying this is a proof he's the finished product or a world-beater; Palace are hardly the kind of calibre of team England will be facing in the World Cup. But Chamberlain has already shown for England that he's confident when called upon, doesn't freeze on the big occasions and isn't overwhelmed by big opponents. Competition is tough and experience is important, but a few more performances like yesterdays and he'll have Mr Hodgson scratching his head come selection time.
