English Premier League side Arsenal have drawn Turkish Süper Lig opponents in the form of Fenerbahçe in the playoff round of the Champions League. The Turkish side were originally given a two-year ban from European competition in June for match-fixing allegations but were later reinstated whilst an appeal is being heard. Fenerbahçe finished runners-up behind Galatasaray in last seasons Turkish league. No decision has yet been made regarding the event of Fenerbahçe winning their tie versus Arsenal and losing their appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
