Sunday Express. Benin international Sessegnon played against The Gunners yesterday at the Stadium of Light as the Black Cats were on the losing end to a late Thierry Henry goal. With Henry leaving to travel back to the U.S. and his parent club New York Red Bulls, Wenger is on the lookout for a new strike partner for goal machine Robin Van Persie. Sessegnon, 27, was signed by former manager Steve Bruce in January 2010 for a considerable fee of £6 million from Paris St. Germain but his impressive performances this season could have increased his fee up to double figures. According to Sunday Express, Wenger is willing to offer £12 million plus Nicklas Bendtner, who is already on loan at Sunderland as part of the deal.
