Arsenal Transfer News: Gunners Prepare Huge Swoop For Real Madrid Trio

By Alex Peace /

Daily Mail. The Gunners have had an incredibly frustrating summer with the free transfer for Mathieu Flamini the only deal completed for a senior player. However, Arsene could finally appease the stirring Arsenal fans with three blockbuster deals. It is believed Real Madrid are more than willing to listen to deals for the three players due to their desire to balance the books following the arrival of Gareth Bale and their packed midfield. Benzema is thought to be Arsene's priority as he looks to bring in a world class centre forward to replace Van Persie who left a year ago for Manchester United. The club now has just four days though to complete the deals and it could be a frantic end to the transfer window for Arsenal. After so much hope at the start of the window that high profile targets would be brought in early doors, it is now beginning to look a bit desperate. Arsenal's need to bring in quality intensified following a nightmare Champions League draw which put them with Napoli, Borussia Dortmund and Marseille. Couple this with an ever growing injury list and quality is needed. The three Madrid targets certainly would bring in quality with almost 150 caps between them for their respective nations and heaps of experience playing at the Bernabau. It could be exciting or disappointing end to the window for Arsenal with such huge expectations but one things for sure is it will be interesting. With just four days left of the window it is shaping up to be one of the most important ends to one in Arsenal's recent history. Are these the players Arsenal need? Are other areas more important?
