apparently looking to cut the fat from his squad. He will reportedly look to shed five players before the transfer window closes later today. Wenger is obviously looking to fill the Emerates Stadiums coffers with the funds secured in selling the five most under performing and fringe players, but supposedly he€™s also keen to rid the club€™s outgoings of their salaries. For that reason, Wenger may be toying with the idea of accepting cut price offers, in the hope to entice quick and easy sales. Here are the 5 players we€™d consider most likely to go today.

5. Sebastien Squillaci

After a thoroughly unimpressive career at the Emirates Stadium side to date, Wenger has been trying to remove the French international from his squad for the better part of 2012. Some have said Squillaci is simply a sub-par player, and not in any way up to a Premier League standard for a centre-half and so it€™s been reported that Wenger might accept way below list price to be rid of him. During his time at Arsenal, the 32-year-old veteran defender has looked sluggish and way out of his league (literally) and it's thought Wenger will accept as little as £1m to be finally unburdened of his salary. Bastia are thought to be considering a deal for the former Sevilla player however they€™re said to be dubious about meeting his wage demands. However a source on Eurosport seems to believe that Olympiakos may be the most likely club to take advantage of the low asking price during today€™s transfer window deadline.
