Want-away Arsenal forward Robin van Persie has signed a contract for Juventus, according to FIFA agent Fabio Parisi. The Dutchman is much coveted by Premier League rivals Manchester United and City, but it is the Turin side he has allegedly signed for, having refused to extend his contract at the Emirates. Speaking to Italian TV, Parsi told the Metro:
"I think Juventus have had a signed contract with Van Persie for some time locked away in a notary€™s desk. It is just my opinion, but I think there€™s an eight out of ten chance the Dutchman will join the Bianconeri."
If such allegations are true, it would come as a hammer blow to United boss Sir Alex Ferguson, who, having also missed out on Eden Hazard to Chelsea, earlier stated he was confident of landing the aces signature. Premier League Champions Man City were also interested in the star, who was last season's top Premier League goalscorer with 37 strikes. Though van Persie endured a torrid time at the European Championships - with Holland failing to qualify from the Group Stages - it is believed his market value hasn't dropped, with Arsenal holding out for £20million. Both City and United have had bids turned down in the past, with the two clubs hoping for a price cut on a player who will celebrate his 29th birthday in just four days. Juventus won Serie A last season, and van Persie is seen as the ideal player to continue the run of success for the 'The Old Lady'.
