Every summer Arsene Wenger gets linked with interest in the Spanish forward and this transfer window has been no exception. With Wenger expected to be forced to sell star player Robin Van Persie before the end of this month, Wenger will need a quick-fit replacement and Villa looks to fit the bill. The 30-year-olds scoring record is as good as anyone's across Europe. He scored 108 goals in 166 appearances at Valencia, notched 23 goals in 49 games against Barcelona and for the Spain national side scored 51 goals in 82 appearances, though he did just miss the successful Euro 2012 campaign with an injury. He is one of Spain's most celebrated ever forwards and is as natural a goalscorer as European football has seen this century. There are rumblings that he is ready for his time at Barcelona to come to an end.. could the Emirates hold the answer for a late career flourish for Villa?
