Arsenal vs Aston Villa - Team News, Match Preview & Likely Line-Ups

By Luke Regan /

Theo Walcott has picked up a knock in England training and therefore could be out of the Villa game, this however isn't confirmed. Taking all of the above in to account it would appear that Lambert will set up his young Villa side up in a 433 formation, with the team reading as follows: Guzan,Lowon, Vlaar, Okore, Luna, Sylla, Westwood, Delph, Agbonlahor, Weimann, Benteke. Much of Villa's fortunes will be dependent on the service they they can get in to their talismanic striker Chirstian Benteke, playing two pacey wingers in Agbonlahor and Weimann should create space for the powerful Belgian to thrive in. It appears that Arsenal will be lining up in their familiar 433/4231 shape with the usual suspects on the pitch, It should read as follows: Szczesny, Sagna, Koscielny, Mertesacker, Gibbs, Arteta, Wilshere, Cazorla, Podolski, Giroud, Walcott. Alex Oxlade Chamberlain may also be in with a shout of getting a start on in the position of Theo Walcott if the injury rumours are true. I can see this game being a fairly close run game, with Arsenal enjoying the lions share of possession but Villa exploiting space in wide area's and countering quickly. I feel that Arsenal will win the game 2-1 with Villa putting in an admirable effort. source - bbc sport
