Bayern Munich's Transfer Deal For Neymar Is Done?

By Matt Robinson /

Santos official Vicente Cascione, Neymar will join the Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich this summer. Both Real Madrid and FC Barcelona are monitoring the movements of the 21-year-old Brazilian despite Neymar allegedly preparing for a summer transfer to the Allianz Arena. Mr Cascione wrote on his blog:

"I have this information first hand. Neymar has signed for Bayern Munich. It's already a done deal."
He then tried to stop people suggesting the claim was false by stating:
"I am not speculating here. This information is irrefutable. From August this year on, the player will be part of Bayern's squad.
It is unclear what sort of price Santos and the German champions have agreed on but the fee will likely be a substantial one considering the amount of interest. Bayern have denied the rumours with club spokesman Markus Horwick informing T-Online: "This is complete nonsense. There's absolutely no truth in this claim." With this being said it is well known that Neymar wants to join a European club and whilst a deal at the moment might not be completed, Mr Cascione is clear that a deal will happen. Neymar scored 43 goals in 47 appearances for Santos last season and has been a clear key player at the Brazilian club for many years. Bayern Munich will be in their second Champions League final in as many years and with former Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola becoming the manager of Munich next season, Neymar would be joining a club in top form and with a manager who has a proven record.
