Having lost his place in recent squads, Newcastle United have loaned out 19 year-old Slovenian international forward Haris Vuckic to Championship side Cardiff City on an initial one month deal. Vuckic has played four times in the Premier League for United this season, starting two games in the Christmas period against West Brom at home (when a stunning strike was oh so close to him getting his first league goal) and at Anfield, where he struggled in a strange advance holding midfield role when manager Alan Pardew's tactics went haywire. Whether he blamed Vuckic's lackluster performance on his own tactics or the lads ability we can't say, but Vuckic hasn't played for The Mags since. Vuckic should make his Bluebirds debut this coming Saturday at Leicester, however he won't be eligible for the trip to Wembley against Liverpool on Sunday week, as he has already played in the Carling Cup for his parent club against Scunthorpe United in an earlier round. Meanwhile, ex-Newcastle coach and now Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson have offered trials for Swedish keeper Ole Soderberg and defender Patrick Nzuzi who have been told they won't get new contracts at the end of the season.
