Charlie Austin will stay at Queens Park Rangers this transfer window and presumably until the end of the season when his contract runs out, according to Independent journalist, Sam Wallace.Reports claim that Austin will see out his current deal that expires in the summer of 2016 and leave QPR on a free transfer. Austin was the fourth-top scorer in the Premier League in 2014-15 having bagged an impressive 18 goals despite playing for a side who finished bottom of the table and he has just a year left on his Loftus Road deal. Austin has scored 107 goals in 199 league games for Swindon, Burnley and QPR since the beginning of 2010. QPR have demanded £15 million for 18-goal Austin all summer but The Express claim Newcastle were unwilling to offer higher than £12 million. Despite Aleksandar Mitrovic having already arrived from Anderlecht, the club have remained hopeful of bringing in another striker and have chased Austin for the last two months. It will be interesting to see if the Magpies continue their pursuit of the striker in January where he will be free to start negotiations with what would be expected to be a large number of clubs.
