Chelsea Hold Talks Over £44m Brazilian Winger
Transfer looks likely amidst speculation of interest from Liverpool.
The Metro, via French newspaper Sud-Ouest, have reported that The Blues are poised to submit a €50 million (approx £44 million) bid for Bordeaux winger Malcom.
The player netted 12 goals in Ligue 1 last season, and the 21-year old's form has attracted heavy interest from England. Chelsea aren't the only ones monitoring his situation; Spurs, Arsenal and Man Utd are also said to be interested in pursuing him.
Chelsea do hold the advantage however, and it's Antonio Conte's side who are expected to table a firm bid for his services.
Malcom's agent Fernando Garcia did also speak with Liverpool after Bordeaux had initially made it clear he wouldn't be going anywhere this summer. Now, it seems the French club are powerless to stop one of their key assets moving to the Premier League during this window.
Whilst Malcom has potential to be a top player, some Chelsea fans on the blog feel it'd be a mighty risk to pay such a hefty fee amidst speculation that Conte will soon leave the side searching for a new manager.
