Chelsea Transfer News: Hulk's Agent Admits Zenit Forward Is Close To Move

According to Talk Sport, the agent of Zenit St Petersburg midfielder Hulk has hinted that the player could leave the Russian side to join either Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain or Monaco this summer. Chelsea were linked with the Brazilian before he moved to Zenit St Petersburg last summer in a deal worth just short of £40 million. After just one year at the Russian side, the former FC Porto star has attracted serious interest after reportedly having a bust-up with club coach, Luciano Spalleti. In an interview with Eurosport, Hulk's agent, Jose Caldeira, has admitted that a move away from Zenit could be on the cards:
"At the moment we cannot announce anything. The player is focused on the tournament and there will not be anything official during this period. France is a possibility but there are others."
With new Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho extremely keen on signing the 26-year-old, he may be ready to battle through his first bidding war upon his return to Stamford Bridge with French sides Paris Saint-Germain and AS Monaco also interested in the player. Newly promoted Ligue 1 side and big spenders AS Monaco have already spent £110 million on former Chelsea target Radamel Falcao and FC Porto duo, James Rodriguez and Joao Moutinho. If Monaco or PSG were to hijack a potential deal with Chelsea, Mourinho would be left with very little attacking options left in the transfer market, with Wayne Rooney likely staying at Manchester United and Robert Lewandowski rumoured to be joining Bayern Munich. Mourinho has already stated he intends on using youngster Romelu Lukaku in his squad next season but Mourinho might find it difficult if he has to rely on Lukaku, Fernando Torres and Demba Ba for a Premier League title challenge.
