It has emerged that Bayern Munich are targeting Chelsea midfielder Juan Mata, according to reports in various newspapers. The Daily Mirror have reported that the out-of-favour playmaker is an emerging transfer target for Pep Guardiola, who wants to take the 25-year-old Spaniard to the German and European champions this summer. Mata would join up with Robert Lewandowski, who has confirmed he'll making the hop from Borussia Dortmund to Bayern Munich this summer. It's believed Bayern have a £20 million budget to complete the deal for the influential midfielder. The Spaniard, who is a fan favourite at Stamford Bridge, has spent much of the year on the bench, as Mourinho has preferred Oscar, Hazard, and recently new signing Willian marshalling the attacking midfield for the Blues. It is reported that the midfielder is keen to link up with the famous German side, and is willing to see out the season at Stamford Bridge in order to make the deal happen. However, Bayern will have to beat off stiff competition for his signature. A loan move to Atletico Madrid has been touted, and there is reportedly strong interest from French side Paris-Saint Germain.
