Chelsea Transfers: 10 Players They Must Sign This Summer

8. Harry Maguire (Leicester)

Chelsea made a point of signing a couple of English players last season in the shape of Danny Drinkwater and Ross Barkley, presumably as a belated attempt to try and escape squad sanctions for falling foul of the homegrown quota.

Should they decide to go for another, you have to imagine Leicester City's Harry Maguire - who capped off a brilliant debut season at the King Power Stadium with a place in the Three Lions World Cup squad - is somewhere near the top of their list.

Commanding in the penalty box, deceptively skilful on the ball, Maguire has all the attributes needed to fit into the back-line of a trophy-chasing side, be it as part of a traditional two-man defence or - should Conte stay (lol) - a back three.

Strictly speaking, he'd probably join them as a replacement for Gary Cahill, but we might as well regard him as the long-term heir to John Terry, minus being a total, irredeemable numpty.
