Chelsea Transfers: £35 Million Rated Danilo Close To Stamford Bridge?
Conte close to getting his man.
Chelsea are reportedly closing in on a move for Real Madrid full-back Danilo (via TeamTalk).
The Blues have been in the market for a pair of wing-backs for most of the summer, having seen their efforts to sign PSG-bound Dani Alves and Juventus star Alex Sandro rebuffed.
And they are now said to be close to getting a deal over the line, with right-sided defender Danilo - who has spent the last two years as Dani Carvajal's understudy at the Bernebeu - reportedly agreeing personal terms with the Premier League champions.
Brazil's Globoesporte has claimed that the 26-year-old, who joined the Galacticos from Porto in 2015, has agreed a five-year-deal at Stamford Bridge.
But the Chelsea board are yet to settle on a transfer fee with their Spanish counterparts, who want £30m for the man spent much of last season warming their bench.
Antonio Conte's side have endured a frustrating transfer window so far, and now appear to be redoubling their efforts to sign players ahead of their Community Shield curtain-raiser with Arsenal on August 6.
Germany defender Antonio Rudiger and 22-year-old French midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko have been recuruited in recent weeks, but the club is yet to find a replacement for outgoing striker Diego Costa.
