Venue: Stamford Bridge K/O 19:45 If history is anything to go by, tonight's Premier League fixture between Chelsea and Reading will be as one sided as they come. The last time Reading beat Chelsea, Warner Bro's had just released cartoon series Looney Tunes, and it would take a comedy of errors for Chelsea to slip up this time - they have never lost at home to tonight's opponents, with Reading's last victory coming in 1930. Team NewsEden Hazard will be looking to continue his rich vein of form for his new club after getting the assists for both of Chelsea's goals in their comfortable 2-0 win away to Wigan at the weekend. Ramires meanwhile is set to feature having recovered from an illness that kept him out of the Blue's squad altogether at the weekend. New signing Oscar is expected to have only a minor role, as he only arrived at his new club a week ago and needs time to adapt to his new surroundings. Reading meanwhile are without midfielder Jem Karacan who has been sidelined by a leg injury, whilst forward Jason Roberts is suspended. Build up Both of these sides enjoyed success last season. Chelsea won the Champions League and FA Cup, whilst Reading won the Championship to gain automatic promotion to the Premier League. There's also a similarity in that, in spite of Reading's promotion, both endured torrid spells domestically. Chelsea had to make do with 6th place after languishing in the league, whilst Reading didn't record their first home win of the season until mid September, and were 16th in the table until November. Reading were able to recover better than Chelsea could manage to win their league, something Chelsea haven't achieved since 2010. With Torres set to make his 150th appearance for the club tonight, the Blues will be hoping he can reverse their fortunes this year with club legend Didier Drogba now departed, leaving the Spaniard as their chief breadwinner. Head to Head Chelsea are clear favourites however. They haven't lost to a newly promoted team since Charlton Athletic beat them in 2001. Last weekend's victory over Wigan meant they continued their record of having not failed to win any of their last nine season openers since Roman Abramovic bought the club. The last time they failed to win their first home game of the season came in 2002 when Manchester United held them to a 2-2 draw. Reading haven't beaten a team from London in their last nine attempts. They won only two of nineteen away matches last season, but if they can get a quick start tonight and sneak a goal, history shows they may be in with a chance. The Royal's dropped fewer points from a winning position than any other side in the Championship last term.
