Danny Welbeck Danny Welbeck warranted his recent call up to the Euro 2012 squad with a fantastic acrobatic winning goal against Sweden. In just 8 appearances he has already scored twice for England, and kept Javier Hernandez out of the Manchester United side as he made a successful pairing with Wayne Rooney, scoring 17 times in 64 appearances in between loan spells at Preston and Sunderland. Daniel Sturridge The 22 year old only made the calls ups list for the 23 man Euro 2012 squad, despite excelling for Chelsea. He has 22 goals in 82 appearances for the Stamford Bridge club, and for long periods of the 2011/12 season kept Fernando Torres out of the starting XI. He will only get more game time for Chelsea now that Anelka and Drogba have moved on for pastures new. Wayne Rooney Rooney's selection is an obvious one. At just 26, he has at least two major tournaments left in him. He came fifth in the vote for the 2011 FIFA Ballon d'Or and was named in the FIFPro World 11 for 2011. Rooney has won the 'Goal of the Season' award by the BBC's Match of the Day poll on three separate occasions, with his bicycle kick against rivals Manchester City winning the 'Premier League Goal of the 20 Seasons' award. Andy Carroll Andy Carroll has been much maligned by pundits since his mega-bucks £50million transfer from Newcastle United to Liverpool. Despite his astronomical price tag, many say he failed to live up to it with just 6 strikes in 42 appearances in his debut season at Anfield. He is not to be discounted, though. At 6 foot three, he is priceless when it comes to aerial combat, as he showed with his thumping header against Sweden as he helped England top Group D of Euro 2012.
