Another player strongly linked with the Goodison exit to preserve his Euro 2016 dream is Republic of Ireland winger Aiden McGeady. With competition fierce in the Everton midfield, the 29-year-old has made just one appearance in a Blue shirt this term, a lacklustre 45 minutes against Barnsley in the Capital One Cup - so it comes as little surprise that a January loan switch is looming. McGeady was linked with a return to former club Celtic, but this has since been ruled out as the Scottish champions are unable to meet his wage demands. A handful of clubs from Englands top two divisions are also said to have expressed interest, but it remains to be seen whether money will continue to scupper a switch.
