8. Nigel Pearson - Watford

In a nomadic managerial career, current Watford boss Nigel Pearson has taken the hot seat at no fewer than ten teams since making his first foray into coaching back in 1998.

As a player, however, Pearson was much less of a journeyman, appearing for Shrewsbury Town, Middlesbrough, and Sheffield Wednesday in a 15-year career as a defender, mostly outside of the top flight before retiring in 1998.

Pearson's crowning achievement during his playing days came when he put in a Man of the Match performance while serving as captain of underdogs Sheffield Wednesday as they edged Manchester United 1-0 to win the League Cup in 1991.
