Fantasy Football Tips: 6 Essential Transfers You Must Make In Gameweek 31 - Part 1

By Lhu Wen Kai /

Gameweek 30 proved to be a tough week for most Fantasy Premier League players, with the average hovering at 45 points. Fortunately, this week's 15 fixtures will give everyone an excellent opportunity to compensate for the heavy losses in a tricky month thus far. Since it's a double gameweek, this week's Fantasy Premier League: The Comprehensive Guide will have two parts. New sections are in store in this week's editions, so hopefully you guys will enjoy more interactivity while reading this guide as we prepare for a significant Gameweek 31. Let us take a look at the first instalment of this week's matches. In the early Saturday kick-off, Chelsea face Arsenal in a decisive clash that could ruin both team's chances for the title this season. Although the home side fare slightly better at Stamford Bridge (29 wins to Arsenal's 27 with 26 draws), the visitors have actually scored more than their hosts have when in West London (109 goals to Chelsea's 104). However, Chelsea remains unbeaten at home under Jose Mourinho. Cardiff City host high-flying Liverpool, who are looking for a huge win after a sensational 3-0 victory against Manchester United last week. Swansea City, four points above the relegation zone, travel to Goodison Park to face Everton, who grabbed a last minute win over Cardiff City following a dramatic Seamus Coleman goal in the dying seconds of the game. Hull City face West Bromwich Albion in a probably dull and boring match. The last time the goals between this two sides exceeded four (2-2), it was on the last day of January back in 2009. Manchester City entertain Fulham in a potentially high scoring affair. The Cottagers have never won City since November 2005, when they eked out a marginal 2-1 win over the Citizens. Crystal Palace head to Tyneside to face Newcastle United, Norwich City welcome Sunderland to Carrow Road, and West Ham United plays host to the Red Devils. In the remaining fixtures, Tottenham plays against Southampton while Stoke City visit Villa Park, the Villans riding on a surprise victory against league leaders Chelsea last week.
