5. Centre Midfield: Paul Pogba - £89 Million
1335580We're back at Old Trafford for another whopping transfer fee - money really must grow on trees in Manchester.
Paul Pogba joined Manchester United's youth team when was 16. After years in the youth system and limited first-team appearances under Alex Ferguson, Pogba left United in search of first-team football at Juventus. Ferguson was happy to see the back of Pogba though, stating that he disrespected the team and the fans. Pogba made a name for himself in Turin over his four year stint, even if he did rack up more yellow cards than he did goals or assists. Regardless, Pogba was lauded as one of the brightest stars in world football, and so United decided to give him another chance at Old Trafford.
Since arriving back in Manchester for a mammoth £89 million fee, Pogba has... let's say, divided fans. Pogba clearly has a wealth of talent but he chooses when to use it. He is just as prone to throwing a tantrum as he is scoring from 30 yards. He's a frustrating talent but he proved at the 2018 World Cup that he is a special player... when he wants to be.
