Former Tottenham Hotspur chairman and star of the hit BBC show The Apprentice Lord Sugar has backed his former club to break in to the top four of the Premier League under new boss Mauricio Pochettino. The business magnate, media personality and political advisor whose many companies have included Amstrad and Amsair, seemed extremely positive about the Lilywhites chances of success this coming season. Speaking to Sky Sports, the straight-talking multi-millionaire stated in no uncertain terms that Spurs have what it takes to earn a place in next season's Champions League - assuming that Pochettino can assert his authority on the squad quickly. Lord Sugar advised Pochettino to "let people know who the organ grinder is" and urged him to identify any players who might be disruptive and get rid of them early:
There are some characters, there are some personalities in that team, as there are in other teams, who feel they are superior and feel they have a divine right to play or not play or be in certain positions and disagree with the manager and, if he finds that early, he should get rid of them.
Lord Sugar was then asked outright "is the top four attainable?" His response was an emphatic "yes":
It's definitely attainable. No question of it and we've got to go for it.
So, do you agree with the former chairman of Spurs? Do they unquestionably have what it takes to earn a top four place in the 2014-15 Premier League?
