Jose Mourinho Is New Chelsea Manager, Says Premier League Website

By Matt Robinson /

official Premier League website have mistakenly published an article claiming that Jose Mourinho has joined Chelsea as manager for the second time. The article said that €˜The Special One€™, who managed his last Real Madrid game last night, has accepted an offer to re-join Chelsea but the article was then quickly taken down. Jose has been rumoured to have already agreed terms with Chelsea chairman Roman Abramovich in which Jose has signed a new four-year deal worth around £40 million, although nothing had been confirmed to date. The Premier League site dated the article as Monday the 3rd of June meaning someone was too quick to click the publish button, but it does suggest we should expect an official announcement from Chelsea at some point tomorrow. Mourinho has been parted from his beloved Chelsea for six years now and in that time the 50-year-old has won two Serie A titles, one La Liga title and one UEFA Champions League trophy. Whilst Chelsea fans might be delighted with Mourinho set to be confirmed as the new manager, the club have had seven managers in charge since Mourinho left including interim manager Rafa Benitez as well as Chelsea legend Roberto Di Matteo so it is unclear just how long the Portuguese manager can stay in the good books of rash billionaire and chairman Roman Abramovich. Mourinho is set become the Chelsea manager on 1st July 2013 but it if rumours are correct Mourinho is already planning a huge summer of transfers including FC Porto defender Eliaquim Mangala as well bringing Cristiano Ronaldo and Luka Modric with him from Real Madrid.
