th March 2012. After several denials from Mourinho, he has finally ended the speculation about a move back to Stamford Bridge by signing a four-year contract. The Madrid website read:

"Real Madrid and José Mourinho have reached an agreement to extend the coach's contract with the club until June 30, 2016."
Mourinho is the only manager to win the top league in Spain (Madrid), England (Chelsea) and Italy (Inter Milan). He has also had success in the Champions League lifting the trophy with Porto in 2004 and Inter Milan in 2010. Mourinho signed for Madrid after leaving Milan and he has just completed his 3rd season for the club and was heading into what would have been his final campaign if he hadn't extended. Mourinho has built a solid team at Madrid having conquered a La Liga win over Barcelona and with his 2010 signings Sami Khedira, Mesut Ozil, Ricardo Carvalho and Angel di Maria - as well as 2011 signings Fabio Coentrao, Raphael Varane and Nuri Sahin all becoming among the best in La Liga in their specific positions, it's fair to say that Mourinho is building for a great prolonged future at Madrid.
