official website. The traditional all red attire is a celebration of the European Cup winning side of 1983-84 and will mark the 30 year anniversary of that triumph. Designed by Warrior, the club expect to earn a staggering £300 million through their new six-year deal with the US sportswear company, who have taken over from former supplier Adidas. Included in the announcement of the new home shirt were comments from current Liverpool stars. Midfielder Lucas Leiva praised the fresh look.

"It is a very nice kit. The white details have given it a nice touch and the material is very good and very comfortable. I think they have done everything they can to make us feel good and it's a very beautiful kit. "I'm really looking forward to wearing it next season."

Complete with white trim, the new home shirt harks back to those glory years of the 1980s when the club won seven league titles, two FA Cups and two European Cups. The cup-winning side of 1984 would be the last to win Europe's biggest club competition until 2005, when Steven Gerrard and co dramatically prevailed over AC Milan on penalties after extra time.
