Liverpool Dream XI To Win The Premier League 2014/15

How Liverpool should line up after the end of the transfer window.

That horrible wait between the end of the World Cup and start of the 2014/15 Premier League season was finally over last week, and the first round of matches are now complete. Liverpool edged to a nervy 2-1 win over Southampton at Anfield, with goals from Raheem Sterling and Daniel Sturridge getting the Reds over the finish line in a game they probably didn't deserve to win. Next up for Brendan Rodgers' side is a daunting trip to the Etihad Stadium to face champions Manchester City, and it will very much be an indicator of where the runners-up will end the season this time out. Last season Simon Mignolet's error gifted Manuel Pellegrini's men a 2-1 win, in a game Liverpool dominated in general, and they will be looking to avenge that loss this time around. The key factor going into the game and indeed the rest of the season is who Rodgers will select in his starting XI. There are a few selection headaches for the 41-year-old to address, and more importantly, there's also the chance that Liverpool will come through with a few key transfers, which have all been taken into account here. How many of the new recruits will start? Which will Rodgers' preferred central defensive pairing be? Will anybody be dropped following the hard-earned Southampton victory? Here is what we think Liverpool's Dream XI should look like by the time the transfer window slams shut at the end of the month, with Rodgers' attacking 4-3-3 the formation of choice.
