Sky Sports, Liverpool midfielder Charlie Adam has arrived at Stoke City to complete a medical, as the two clubs look to close a deal before the imminent end of this summer's transfer window. Brendan Rogers is reportedly happy to let Adam leave Anfield after strengthening his midfield by bringing in Nuri Sahin and Joe Allen this summer. The 26-year-old midfielder only joined Liverpool last summer from Blackpool, but it€™s clear that he€™s not part of Rodgers' game plan going forward. Previously it was thought that the likes of Everton and Fulham were interested in signing the former Rangers man, but after the recent reports on Sky Sports, it looks likely that Stoke City are in prime position to bag him. Sky Sports reports that Stoke City are keen to bolster their squad before the closing of the transfer window today and made bid of £4m earlier on in the week. A deal now looks imminent for Adam to join Stoke. Although Adam has been quite vocal about his desire to stay at the Anfield side, Rodgers has an abundance of midfielders to call on and the former Blackpool midfielder is yet to see even one minute of Premier League play this term.
