Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers will consider making a move for Chelsea forward Daniel Sturridge should Andy Carroll leave Anfield this week, according to a report in The Daily Mail. They say that the Merseyside club would need to part with around £20 million to bring the Chelsea forward up North and the player himself would be interested in the move as his chances look limited at Stamford Bridge. Fernando Torres started the two Premier League games for Chelsea this week and it does look like the whole of the Blues' formation and summer signings of the likes of Eden Hazard, Oscar and Victor Moses are so they can supply Torres with goal-scoring opportunities. The Daily Mail reports that Newcastle United and West Ham United are both still interested in taking Carroll away from Liverpool before the summer transfer window slams shut on Friday. They claim Newcastle have already made a £12 million offer to bring their former player back to St. James' Park which is £8 million short of his valuation and that West Ham United can only afford a loan move.
