Liverpool Transfer News: Reds Back In For Tom Ince?
Team Talk. Ince, who began his playing career at the Red's youth academy in 2008, looks set to leave current club Blackpool after being given permission to open talks with a number of Premier League clubs. Ince, along with his father, Paul, who last week was dismissed as manager of the Seasiders, met with Swansea today while talks with Crystal Palace, Stoke, Hull and Sunderland are also planned. But now, news of Liverpool's interest could see them emerge as favourites. Ince began his career at Anfield but failed to make an impact and didn't make a single appearance for the senior side, instead joining Notts County on loan before being sold to Blackpool in 2011. There he has excelled, his 18 Championship goals last season earning him the Football League Young Player of the Year Award for 2013. Liverpool had looked into re-signing him last summer, but now they have rekindled their interest following their failed pusuit of Mohamed Salah, who has instead joined Chelsea. French giants Monaco also remain keen on Ince and could yet tempt him with a lucrative move to the continent, but the chance to return to his former side could give Liverpool the edge.
