Liverpool Transfer News: Tom Ince Move Put On Hold?
Mirror. Rodgers thought his bid to bring the England Under-21 starlet back to Anfield was "a done deal" but Karl Oyston, Blackpool's chairman, appears to be playing hardball. Oyston used a similar tactic when Liverpool were chasing midfielder Charlie Adam two years ago. Then, he also refused to accept any phone calls from Liverpool and Adam ended up staying at the club for a further six months. 20-year old Ince began his career at Anfield as a youth team player in 2008 and broke into the senior team in 2010, although he didn't make a senior appearance and was loaned out to Notts County before being sold to Blackpool in 2011. Swansea are also thought to be interested which could trigger a bidding war, and that would suit Liverpool, who are understood to have a sell-on clause from the original deal that would reduce the money they pay to buy him back. If Rodgers can't get in touch with Oyston on the old blower, maybe he should try Skyping him or sending him a Tweet.
