Martin Montoya has been linked with Liverpool in every window since Brendan Rodgers took over at Anfield. With it looking increasingly likely that Glen Johnson will be leaving Anfield this summer and the uncertainty surrounding John Flanagans contract, the Reds will need another right back as Javier Manquillo will be the only recognised player in that position. At the age of 23 Montoya needs game time and he would get that opportunity at Liverpool whether that be in a back four or back five. The Spaniard has only featured for Barcelona seven times this season and is rumoured to be considering his future at the club. Like Draxler, he is another player who fits in with the FSG model. In recent months Lazar Markovic and Jordan Ibe have filled it an right wing back and have done excellent jobs there, but Montoya would offer a natural defensive instinct, with also the ability to push forward like Alberto Moreno on the other side.
