Surprisingly defence could see the biggest movements this summer this has been one of the only constants over the last few seasons but its looking ever more likely that Rodgers will start to rip apart the defence that Rafa built.
1. Ben Foster (Goalkeeper), West Bromwich Albion
The former Manchester United stopper has been in scintillating form this season and it was proved once again with a majestic performance at Anfield on Monday night. Rumours have been widespread this season that Pepe Reina could be on his way out in the summer. Although Foster is a little older than FSG would like, goalkeepers are a different breed and Liverpool would still get a long service from the 29-year-old Englishman.
2. Ashley Williams (Centre-Back), Swansea City
It seems in recent weeks that Brendan Rodgers has realised that his defence needs a little more communication within its ranks, hence the recall of veteran Jamie Carragher. But with his retirement at the end of the season he will be forced to obtain another leader for his team. Williams has now proved himself for two seasons in the topflight and not many managers will know him better than the current Liverpool boss who saw at first hand what a top player he was at the Liberty Stadium.
