Goals come at premium prices in the Premier League as Liverpool know all too well. Having profited massively from two giant sales of stickers in the past five years, the Anfield side took an almighty gamble on Mario Balotelli this summer and it frankly has not paid off, despite the cost. With the other summer signings mostly misfiring alongside the Italian, the season that should have been Liverpool's big chance to take the next step has turned into a damp, disappointing affair, and things have to change. Though he looked invincible last year, some doubts have even been cast on Brendan Rodgers this term, and this transfer window is arguably even more important than the one that saw him try and replace Luis Suarez. Because if he fails again, Liverpool might not even finish in the top half of the table, let alone the top four...
