Liverpool Transfers: Analysis of Brendan Rodgers' Signings So Far

But things are beginning to look up for the Reds with them winning their last two Premier League games and scoring six goals in the process. We all know that Luis Suarez has been the stand out player within the Merseyside team this year. Without him they would be in a bit of trouble to say the least. However that is not to say that the other players in the team have not made a big influence because there has been plenty of impressive performances from the whole team this season. So, it raises the question: have Rodgers' signings made a significant impact? The Northern Irishman has been successful in bringing in a few great players from the youth team and has got the whole team playing some sleek football. But how decisive has he been in the Transfers market since joining the Reds? Here is a look at Rodgers' six signings so far and the impact they have made on the team.

1. Fabio Borini (£10.5 million from Roma)

It's mostly been nothing but bad luck for the Italian since his move to Liverpool. With only one goal in 10 games, Borini hasn't had much opportunities to brandish his trademark "knife between the teeth" celebration. This bad luck was intensified when the striker sustained a foot injury that required surgery and put him out of action for three months. So Borini has had little chance to make much of an impact. It was always going to be a major risk signing a young striker with only some experience for such a high price. But Rodgers believes he can do a good job at Liverpool after he had a successful loan spell under him in 2011. And 9 goals in 24 games for Roma could be a lot worse.
