Liverpool Transfers: Analysis of Brendan Rodgers' Signings So Far

2. Daniel Sturridge (£12 million from Chelsea)

Okay, it is way to early to say what kind of impact Sturridge has made for Liverpool in the long run. Rodgers will however be very happy with the impact the former Chelsea man has made in the short term. Scoring in only seven minutes on your debut is always a good thing - even if it is against a team in the lower divisions. Liverpool were in dire needs of strengthening their strike force, partly due to failing to sign Clint Dempsey at the end of the transfer window in the summer and partly because of Borini's injury. And Sturridge is an excellent purchase to fill that gap in the aforementioned strike force. It remains to be seen if Sturridge will be a successful signing or not but to do so he will definitely need to become a more prolific goal scorer than when he was at Chelsea. source - the independent
