On Tuesday evening, Liverpool face Basel in what has the potential to become another one of those famous Anfield Champions League nights. Brendan Rodgers' team know that victory over the Swiss side will see them progress to the knockout stages of Europe's greatest club competition, surely lining up a glamour tie against one of the biggest clubs on the continent in the process. There is a lot of work to be done, however, and Basel have proved to be a thorn in the Reds' side a few times in the past. Since the Champions League's inception in 1992, Liverpool have enjoyed some truly memorable victories. They took almost a decade to qualify for the competition, but they have certainly made up for it since. Quite often they have gone into huge ties as the underdogs, only to produce gutsy, unforgettable performances and progress to the next round. On other occasions, the Reds have simply blown teams away, with the stunning Anfield atmosphere acting as a huge advantage. Selecting Liverpool's 10 greatest Champions League victories was not the hardest thing in the world, but putting them in order was a real challenge. Do you agree with the following selections? Here's hoping Tuesday's showdown with Basel becomes worthy of making the cut one day.......
