In the quarter final of the World Cup in 2010, everyone's favourite surprise package Ghana looked like sealing the most unlikely of wins against Uruguay to progress to the semi-finals. Ghana had captured the spirit of South Africa and were quickly adopted as everyone's second team. With the game tied at 1-1, Dominic Adiyiah looked like he would grab a certain last-gasp goal to take Ghana through, only for Suarez to blatantly handball on the goal line to keep the ball out. He was correctly sent off, a penalty was awarded, and Asamoah Gyan blasted it off the crossbar. The game went to penalties and Uruguay won 4-2.
